March 1 Meeting

Thank you to everyone for a lovely installation ceremony.  And a big thank you from the whole chapter to Marty for a wonderful 2 years.  She has left big shoes to fill.

I am going to continue to send regular emails with the meeting details, notifications of special events, and anything else you'd like me to forward.  However, I'm also going to use this forum to post the same information so we have everything in one place for everyone to reference.  After each meeting I'll post the good of the chapter notes so those sisters that can't attend meetings will be able to keep up on the news.  I can also post pictures -- new babies, weddings, or anything you'd like to share.

SUGGESTIONS FOR THE GOOD OF THE CHAPTER
  •  Joyce Snapp shared a note from Bonnie Benda, Imagine a Woman.
  •  Anne Stuart shared that Audra is traveling on business, and that Catherine has received a promotion, which keeps her happily busy. Anne also heard from Susie Beerer and Barb Guist.
  •  Be sure to see Quilters; this is the last weekend. She enjoyed it immensely, and her BIL had an epiphany about women talking about their lives.
  • Sondra had a note from Linda Walpole; her brother will be entering hospice soon.
  •  Kim Unger is now with Biscuits and Berries catering; let her know if  you need any catering.
  • Marty gave gifts to her officers; her daughter Kim knitted the lovely gift bags.
  • Marty drew her own name as winner of the basket.
  • The Chapter gifted Marty with wind chimes and thanked her for her service as President.
  • Newly inducted President Pam Renny gave Carole Jackson her pin.
  • Pam will share the information via the P.E.O. Post, but she has also created a P.E.O. blog. Just click on the link (which will appear in the Post). Check it for upcoming events and links to State and International Chapters. Suggestions for the good of the chapter will also go into the blog as a means for sisters to keep up with one another.
  • Pam and her husband are snow-shoeing for breast cancer in Frisco this upcoming weekend (Romp to Stomp).
