December 6 Meeting

ON A PERSONAL NOTE
  •  “Orphaned” items from boutique include tablecloth, power cord, clipboards; please claim
  • Deborah talked with Linda Lambrecht, who sends her very best; she appreciates the food being sent to her. It would be great to send her a Christmas card.
  • We will be having a wedding shower for Sarah Kelly; it is January 26th at Marty’s home, 9:30.
Some remarks by State Secretary, Dottie Ruth
  • She shared Psalm 84:10—A single day in your temple is better than a thousand elsewhere.
    • Does this apply to PEO?
    •  She says yes, and that we should think about the joy that PEO brings—a commitment, and a renewed belief in what we do.
    • Be excited about PEO and what we do.
  • We should improve our participation, but we can also understand different modes of participation. A “due share of our interest and energy” can be shared in many different ways and at many different times.
    •  Share your talents with your other sisters.
    • Thank you for our support for all projects—contributions to all of them are essential.
  • Closing thought comes from Cottey: We share a vision of loving concern for one another.  We share a desire for educational opportunities for women across the globe.  Consider the lives that are being transformed. Dream of the possibilities of our students, and then take note of the part each of us plays in this dream.
